In selecting our hospital partners, we have taken into consideration a number of important aspects. We have naturally considered the quality of care provided by the hospitals and have also looked closely at their areas of specialty. The ability to cater for the needs of international patients is an important component and we have shown a preference for hospitals which are proactive in the Medical Travel area and have knowingly developed services with people of different nationalities in mind.
We also take into account the hospital's accreditation. Each of our current hospital partners is JCI accredited, which is widely regarded as an indicator of service quality in the healthcare industry internationally.
Travel Related Services
As our products also include travel insurance, it is also important to ensure that help will be on hand wherever you travel. Mondial Assistance has a large global network of hospitals. These hospitals are rated according the standard of care they provide and their facilities. As part of Mondial's "Marco Polo" project, hospitals are visited by Mondial's Medical Directors. A report is submitted and the hospital is then given a quality rating.
This information is valuable when handling Medical Assistance cases. Medical Assistance Coordinators have this information on hand and Mondial's Doctors are able to make informed decisions about whether or not each particular hospital is capable of providing the level of care required. Just how traumatic a mishap turns out to be often depends on who you turn to for help. Having Mondial Assistance on hand will ensure that the best help is available when you need it.
